PATA India Chapter events and activities 2011.

PATA Travel Mart is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 06 to 09 September, 2011. The PATA Travel Mart is Asia Pacific's premier travel trade show and the industry is gearing up to receive the over 1000 delegates that are expected to attend. Complimentary  tours and a trip on the Mahaparinirvan special train are planned along with exciting pre-post tours. The mart offers abundant opportunities for travel industry stake holders to network and gain new contacts throughout the region. PTM will bring together hundreds of internationl buyers and sellers in one market place.

A source marketing seminar giving the overview of Asia Pacific travel flows and latest trends in India outbound and China outbound will be held on 6th September 2011. Details will follow.

The PATA India Roadshow June 2011 - UK and Ireland

The Chaper embarked on a roadshow to UK and Ireland in June 2011. There were 18 participants (mix of hoteliers and tour operators) and on the recommenadtion of the UK Chapter, hired a consultant who organised the invitees in each city (London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Dublin). The travel professionals from within our membership networked with their counterparts and educated the UK and Irish travel trade on the different products and on India through stunning presentations. Indian hospitality and cuisine were also showcased and in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham, the guests were also treated to a beautiful cultural programme.

The roadshow to one of our primary source markets was a success and the feedback has been appreciative and outstanding.

Site Inspection Visit by PATA team

The events team from PATA, Bangkok will be carrying out their final site inspection visit to New Delhi from 26th to 29th of July 2011. Bill Calderwood, the interim CEO will also be visiting during this period.
