PATA has an impressive track record in providing expert assistance and wise counsel to the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry. A PATA Task Force is currently assisting the Government of Samoa in essential infrastructure investment and reconstruction following the 2009 earthquake and tsunami that caused widespread devastation across this South Pacific island.

PATA offers advocacy and crisis communications consultancy expertise by tapping into the considerable expertise of its full-time management team, Association members and PATA Chapters across the region.

PATA made notable contributions to destinations and other member organisations following the Bali bombings in 2002, the 2003 SARS crisis and the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.
