PROFILE

PT Putri Naga Komodo (PNK) is a Joint Venture between The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the global conservation organization which has an Indonesia program and has been involved in supporting the Komodo National Park management for at least a decade, and PT. Jaytasha Putrindo Utama (JPU), an Indonesian tourism company (whose chairman is PATA Board member Feisol Hashim). PNK was established in 2005 with the aim of developing an independent and sustainable management support unit for the Komodo Collaborative Management Initiative (KCMI), a shared management framework we are setting up to maximize the involvement of key stakeholders in Komodo National Park, including the Park Authority, the central and local government, tourism service providers and the local communities. We are re-investing all revenues back into the Park and the company's objective is to support tourism, conservation and local people.
