Sustainability Index

PATA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Sustainability Intelligence Ltd to provide its members with a ‘private labeled’ version of the PATA Sustainability Index. 

The Sustainability Index is a low-cost common disclosure platform designed to enable mass engagement of travel and tourism related companies and destinations, including those that are currently benchmarked or certified by one of the hundreds of such programmes, in support of practices and principles adopted by The Partnership for Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria (GSTC) and the Sustainable Tourism Stewardship Council (STSC).

The index is a web‐based tool that assesses sustainability performance, providing measurement and benchmarking for travel industry stakeholders and their respective supply chains.  The Index programme helps participants to increase sustainability, meet disclosure requirements by their clients, government and/or financial stakeholders and also offers opportunities for cost savings.
