About Venue:
The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur has set out to offer its guest’s gracious Malaysian hospitality as one of the hallmark features of this luxurious five-star hotel centrally located in Kuala Lumpur’s downtown business district. It features elements of Malaysia’s unique architecture. Hotel has 300 guest rooms and suites, for longer staying guests there are 102 well-appointed apartment suites or studios. Dress Code:
Business attire is the official dress code during 2012 PATA Annual Conference. Dress code for evening social functions, unless otherwise specified within the program, is smart casual attire or national costume.
Airport Transfers:
Airport transfers from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to 2012 PATA Annual Conference official hotel/Venue The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur are made available to all registered delegates arriving on April 19-21 and departure transfer will be from April 21-22.
Getting Around:
The 2012 PATA Annual Conference hosts will provide coach shuttle services for connections between official hotel and all official conference sessions and social events. The official shuttle schedule will be made available at a later date.

About Kuala Lumpur:
Kuala Lumpur is the capital city and is home to the legislative branch of the Federal government. It is the second largest city in Malaysia by population. Kuala Lumpur is defined within the borders of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and is one of three Malaysian Federal Territories. Official Language: The official language of Malaysia is Bahasa Melayu. However, English is widely spoken and understood and usually used in trade, tourism and commerce.

Electricity: The voltage used throughout Malaysia is 220-240 volts AC, at 50cycles per second. Standard 3-pin square plugs and sockets are used. Most luxury hotels have built-in converters in bathrooms for shavers, hair dryers, etc.
Time difference: Malaysia Standard Time is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+8) and Malaysia Time does not operate Daylight-Saving Time.
Entry Requirements: Visitors must be in possession of a valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months beyond the intended visiting period. Citizens of most countries do not require visas for social or business visits.
