Dear PATA Members, Associates & Friends
On behalf of the Pacific Asia Travel Association I would like to invite you to our 6th PATA, HUB CITY FORUM (HCF) to be held in Sydney on Friday, February 12 at the Sir Stamford Hotel, Macquarie St.
In recent months similar HCF’s been held in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Beijing and London all designed to highlight and constructively address what PATA, through its researchers and its membership surveys, have identified as critical issues facing tourism in the decade ahead. See the four minute Video on our past five HCF’s, to get a sense of our activities and ambition. http://www.pata.org/Video
Our mission is your mission, to build tourism in a balanced and sustainable way, whilst strengthening the weakest links in the travel chain.
The theme for Sydney we have adopted is:
COST + CONGESTION + COMPETITION - The Realities of Remaining Competitive
Relevant topics including our National and State Tourism Policy settings, increasing congestion at key gateways, service standards, investment in accommodation and the marketing of our product will be addressed by eminent speakers. The agenda is designed with ample time for discussion.
I would be particularly pleased if you can join us and join in the discussion on February 12.
With best wishes,
Martin J. Craigs
