If you arrive at Macau International Airport(All arrival transfer will be provided on September 12-14): |
• You should clear immigration and customs at Macau International Airport
• Complimentary shuttle services from Macau International Airport stand ready to transfer delegates to PTM official hotels from 0930-0230 hrs. You may be required to present your PTM Confirmation Letter to the transfer staff before boarding the shuttle.
If you arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and require immediate connection to Macau by Sea Express Ferry from SkyPier: |
• You can connect to Macau via HKIA without the need to clear Hong Kong Immigration and Customs.
Notes: In order to shorten arrival transfer time in Macau, delegates who stay at The Venetian, Grand Hyatt, Four Seasons, Westin Macau and Hotel Taipa may consider using CotaiJet service to arrive at Taipa Ferry Terminal.
For delegates staying at MGM Macau, Beverly Plaza, Holiday Inn, Rio Hotel and Emperor Hotel may consider to use TurboJet service to arrive at Macau Ferry Terminal. Both ferries will service from the same SkyPier in HKIA.
• Your checked baggage should be tagged to Hong Kong, and NOT Macau.
• Please note that some airlines provide “Baggage Tag Through Service” which sends baggage directly to Macau.
• After your landing at HKIA, you should approach Sea Express counter (TurboJet/CotaiJet) in Zone E1 for your Sea Express Ferry check-in. At this counter you should hand over your checked-in luggage tag/s to the ferry operator who will claim luggage at HKIA on your behalf. You will only claim your luggage by yourself when you arrive Macau.
• In order to ensure your ferry schedule, it is advised to buy ferry ticket in advance from online booking services. However, the ticket can be purchased on spot at the counter.
• Delegates need to arrive the Sea Express counter in HKIA at least 60 minutes before ferry departure time. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient (hand baggage must not exceed 9” x 14” x 22”. For details about the baggage regulations, please check with SkyPier or airlines.)
• In order to board the Sea Express, you’re required to:-
- check your baggage status with the ferry ticket reading machine
- Scan ferry ticket at the ferry boarding entrance
- Board the Automated People Mover (Train) to SkyPier
- Board ferry to Macau from SkyPier
• The ferry ride is between 60-75 minutes, depending on sea conditions and type of boat.
• Upon arrival at Macau Ferry Terminal, you should clear Macau immigration, claim your baggage and clear Macau customs.
• Complimentary Shuttle services to the PTM2010 official hotels will be providing for all registered delegates from 0915-2215 hrs. You may be required to present your PTM Confirmation Letter to the transfer staff before boarding the shuttle.
If you arrive at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and plan to overnight in Hong Kong before travelling on to Macau: |
• You should clear immigration and customs at HKIA.
• Transportation: You shall be responsible for your own transportation in Hong Kong. Airport Express links HKIA directly to Hong Kong's central business district and buses connect the airport with most of the city. The 35.3 km journey between the Airport and the city takes as little as 24 minutes.
• Hotel Accommodation: You shall be responsible for your own accommodation in Hong Kong. PATA has negotiated special industry room rates for PTM delegates at The Royal Garden Hong Kong, for rate and reservation detail, please visit www.pata.org/events/pata-travel-mart-2010/Hotel
• On your day to Macau, you should make your own way either to Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal (Shun Tak Ferry Terminal) in Central or Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal (Tsim Sha Tsui) in Kowloon.
• Upon arrival at Macau Ferry Terminal, you should clear Macau immigration, claim your baggage and clear Macau customs.
• Shuttle services to the official hotels will be providing for all PTM delegates from 0915-2215 hrs, simply present your PATA Confirmation Letter to the staff before boarding the shuttle.
