Air New Zealand has room for more

Air New Zealand will be increasing its capacity in domestic operations by adding more than 9,500-seats per week. This additional service is in response to signs of the anticipated recovery in demand for domestic travel within New Zealand, according to a report by e-Travel Blackboard.

Plans include more than doubling the number of flights between Tauranga and Christchurch, and increasing direct flights between Invercargill and Wellington from daily to double, on weekdays. Passengers will benefit by a reduced travel time of at least 45-minutes each way, as they would not need to transit in Christchurch.

The airline has also launched increased services between Palmerston North and Auckland; Napier and Auckland; and Palmerston North and Christchurch.
