BA looking to partner

British Airways (BA) may be looking for more mergers, according to a report in eGlobal Travel News.

BA and Iberia are already creating a new holding company called International Airlines Group, in a US$ seven billion deal. Further, the carrier has entered into a partnership with American Airlines as well.

Speculation is rife that BA may still be considering Qantas, although Wallie Walsh, chief executive, British Airways, was quoted by Bloomberg as having said they were not looking to reopen merger talks with Qantas.
