Call to Bid for PATA Events 2013-2014

Bring business to your destination, welcome worldwide business travellers and expand media exposure to showcase your destination as the host of a prestigious PATA travel trade event.

PATA Government/Destination members are invited to bid for PATA’s signature travel trade events in 2013 and 2014 including PATA Annual Meetings (PAM), PATA Travel Mart (PTM) and PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart (ATRTCM).

As Asia Pacific economies continue their strong economic rebound, the current planning period is an opportune time for your destination to enhance its future travel and tourism business. The successful record of PTM 2010 in Macau shows that the economic impact from an initial investment is repaid many times over. Independent research by Professor Lindsay Turner of Victoria University in Melbourne shows that for each US$1 invested, a return of US$5 was secured for the host destination and sponsors.

Hosting a PATA event guarantees your destination year-long pre-and post-event publicity through PATA worldwide media channels and networks. On-site destination reports and post-event media coverage by business, trade and consumer press also boosts destination awareness in the international arena, long after the event has concluded.

This year’s PTM2011 is being hosted by India in New Delhi. PATA has confirmed that the PTM2012 Mart will take place in the Philippines. The PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart in 2012 will be held in Paro, Bhutan. PATA’s Annual Meeting in 2012 will be held in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia.

We now invite bids now for all three PATA events in 2013 and in 2014. To request for copies of the bid documents, please email events@PATA.org.
