Exchange rates highly at UK Chapter

PATA UK Chapter’s ‘post ITB’ Exchange at Australia House in London attracted an impressive number of trade buyers and exhibitors.

Exchange is designed to meet the needs of buyers and sellers travelling home via the UK after ITB Berlin. More than 100 buyers from the UK and Ireland met 54 exhibitors promoting over 60 products.

What they said about PATA UK Chapter Exchange 2010

“The PATA Exchange provides an excellent opportunity for us to tell buyers what’s happening with our business. The appointments system works really well and we were impressed with the level and standard of enquiries.” Akhil Seth, Hilton Worldwide

Asia Pacific is a key focus for us at the moment so this was very valuable in terms of speaking to people whose business fits with our own plans. A very fruitful day with high quality buyers.”  Adiel Mambara, Royal Brunei Airlines

“This is an excellent opportunity to engage with buyers face to face. It also allows us to promote a destination that has so much to offer but which also comes with some misconceptions. A very valuable day through which to promote and encourage awareness of Taiwan.”  Sarah Habicht, Taiwan Tourism Board

“The PATA Exchange has been a great way for us to help get the trade excited about Hong Kong again. The appointments system is a very effective way to maximise time, with good quality buyers giving us access to customers and new markets in line with our plans for the destination.”  Sandra Kwan, Hong Kong Tourism Board

“It has been excellent to see the PATA Exchange build on the success of its inaugural year, to have new sellers and buyers add weight to the event – and to see a renewed optimism across the forum about the region and all it has to offer.”  Fleur Burrows, Tourism NT (Australia Outback)

Bangkok Airways has been one of Asia Pacific’s great success stories of recent years but we also realise the importance of keeping the travel trade engaged with our product and our plans. The timing of the PATA Exchange straight after ITB in Berlin provides a great forum in which to meet key business contacts.”  Andrew Hoskins, Bangkok Airways (UK Representative Office)

“I’m impressed with the networking emphasis of the PATA UK Chapter’s work. The annual PATA Exchange is a relaxed and effective forum in which to engage with existing and new clients and one we are very happy to support.”  Simon Beck, Reed Travel Exhibitions
