IHG to Create 400,000 New Jobs

InterContinental Hotel Group’s (IHG) business expansion is set to create up to 400,000 new jobs in the next four years, according to a report by Taleo Talent Mobility.

A Taleo Talent Mobility report found that the hotel group’s average growth of one new hotel per day would create a staffing hole that would see the hotel hiring up to 400,000 new people to “help support that growth pipeline”, as reported in eTravel Blackboard Australia.

IHG Global Talent Systems Manager Claire Guberg explained that the company was out to nurture internal talent as well as locate and support new talent too. Guberg added that the company would focus on finding talent that was “brand aware” and willing to work towards delivering the company’s vision to customers.
