The PATA Cambodia Chapter conducted a seminar for tourism students of Norton University on December 14, 2011. The aim of the seminar was to raise awareness amongst students studying tourism to have a better understanding of the industry, what is PATA and its stand in the industry, PATA’s relevance to Cambodia and learn more about where it would be in the future.
PATA Cambodia Chapter Secretary General Sophea Sok presented about PATA and its stand in the industry, and PATA Cambodia Chapter Chairman Sinan Thourn presented about tourism development in Cambodia, sharing his experience in the industry to the students and inspiring them to work hard and be more active in the industry for their future and the future of tourism development in their country.
A total of 146 students participated in the seminar and is considered a great kick-off event for the newly-established chapter.
The PATA Cambodia Chapter is keen on opening opportunities for students to become members and aims to inspire them to help in improving the state of the tourism industry in Cambodia.
