Top award for Gloria Henderson

Long serving PATA member Mrs Gloria Henderson has received the Association's prestigious Life Membership award. The audience, which includes many leading state and federal travel and tourism dignitaries, heard that Mrs Henderson (pictured centre) attended her first PATA Chapter meeting in 1974 and had worked since that time 'with passion, commitment and enthusiasm in all her PATA undertakings'.

Her service to the Association has embraced a very broad range of committees including Industry, Membership and Marketing as well as the main Board of Directors. She has worked tirelessly as a member of the Executive Committee - demonstrating great support and loyalty to Association chairmen and chairwomen past and present.

Asian Trails boss Luzi Matzig has received the PATA Chairman’s Award for 2009/10. Chosen by outgoing PATA chairman (and former TAT governor) Mrs Phornsiri Manoharn for his outstanding support during her term of office Mr Matzig, a long-serving member of the Association and a current member of the PATA Executive Board, received the award at a PATA Foundation gala dinner in Kuching, Sarawak where guests wore traditional costume.
