Victoria is facing is worst flood situation since the last 15-years. With 200-millimetres of rain experienced over the weekend, north-eastern Victoria was the region most severely affected, according to a report in Travel Blackboard.
Almost 40,000 citizens are without electric power in the area. North South Wales was hit by a windstorm on Sunday that brought down trees and power lines. Neighbouring states were affected too; while Adelaide received its entire monthly average rainfall for September in the very first week, Canberra saw 26-millimetres of rain just on Sunday – which is more than the recorded amount for the whole month of August.
