HO CHI MINH CITY, October 10,  2019 ASSET-H&C is a unique network of innovative vocational training centers that promote the social and economic inclusion of vulnerable people in Southeast Asia, through training and professional integration in hospitality and catering sectors.This association, created in 2016 by IECD and winner of PATA Grand Award 2019, currently gathers 14 schools across Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

The network will hold a conference on Responsible Business in Tourism & Hospitality on October 31st in Yangon (Myanmar). It will take place at Esperado Lake View Hotel (No.23, Kan Yeik Thar Road, Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, ရန်ကုန် 11221, Myanmar) at 2PM.

The event will gather the private sector, civil society organizations and governmental actors  to debate on “doing good while doing business”, exchanging ideas and learning from one another about developing and promoting responsible business practices in tourism & hospitality in Southeast Asia.

Discussions will particularly focus on the following topics:

  • : how doing business and acting responsibly can combine and support each other?
  • as strategic competitive advantage: how to define, measure and communicate social impact?
  • : shared practices and experiences from hospitality social businesses and industry professionals
