Pacific Asia Travel Association NY Chapter recently had its first trade show attended by over 100 NY PATA members. Attendees had traveled from CA, FL, DC, PA, NJ, CT. and the NY area for the March 19th event held at Club 101.

Exhibitors represented the National Tourist Offices, Tour Operators, Airlines and Consolidators, Cruise and Hospitality, Marketing and Travel Affiliates.

In the Treasurer’s opening remarks, Elizabeth Chin welcomed the Indonesian Consul General, The Hon. Ghafur Dharmaputra. Fifteen new members were introduced and they were given a warm welcome. Elizabeth said she spearheaded the event to create greater opportunities for business to business networking, and socializing for NY PATA members.

Informative video presentations were made by Macau Government Tourist Office, Xiamen Airlines/APG-USA, Club Med, and Buffalo Tours.

Vice-Chairman Bing Sun said, “I spoke with quite a few PATA members including some new members as well. They all liked this travel show very much and told me that this kind of show is the most direct, effective, and informative, and it is convenient to both providers and travel agents in the New York tri-states.”

Exhibitors provided many door prizes. The top prize was an all-inclusive wellness treatment package for 7 nights at the Kairali Ayurvedic Healing Center that was won by Nina Komarica.

Reception and sumptuous buffet dinner served at the Park Avenue venue were distinctive, and the spacious room allowed for an easy flow.

The Second Annual NY PATA Trade Show will be held in May 2016.
