Michael Youngblood is the co-founder of Unsettled, a new type of travel company that provides the ability to take your work, life, and adventures beyond traditional borders. Unsettled provides everything someone needs to live and work remotely in new destinations around the world. We currently operate in Indonesia, Morocco, South Africa, Europe, and South and Central America. Michael and his work at Unsettled have been featured in many media outlets, including the New York Times, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and much more and he is a regular speaker and writer on topics of innovation, adventure travel, and innovation in adventure travel.
Over the past decade, Michael has co-founded two adventure travel companies and supported the entrepreneurship ecosystem in a multitude of ways, as an editor at MIT’s Innovations journal, through teaching and leading workshops on innovation, and by designing curriculums for entrepreneurship at US universities and the U.S. Department of State.
When he’s not working, he can be found either participating in adventure travel, he’s an avid cyclist, backcountry explorer, sportsman, and sailor. He’s an inaugural TED Resident and a member of Sandbox.
