The Travel Trade Day 2016

It is indeed our pleasure to welcome you to register online for the 2016 edition of the B2B workshop TravelMatch, being organized for the 5th time!

Please see below for more details on the concept, the registration and booking procedures, as well as the new cooperation leading to the concept of the Travel Trade Day 2015.

For those already knowing the concept and being pre-qualified, we start with the registration. If you are not familiar with TravelMatch, please read the information below.


If you have already been approved for attending, you may go to the website for registration. Others interested in attending TravelMatch can also register online, but the organizer reserves the right to select partners that fully match the criteria for sellers, and to secure a good balance of destinations and type of companies represented.

After entering the website, you can go to “Sign up” and click for “Registration of sellers”.

Then you need to complete the registration and submit for registering. If there is more than one person attending form the company, you need to fill in a registration for each person. Please make sure then to have one person registering with a table, and the other as an additional person.

Shortly after this, you will receive an email confirming your registration, also containing a link for you to log in to the database at any time for changing your information, check the information entered by buyers and monitor your meetings schedule. Please remember to save your log in.

NB: Please make sure to enter the complete, correct and accurate details regarding the invoice, since this will automatically be used for the invoicing, and there will be a charge for issuing new invoices. The invoices will be sent to you by mail in the first half of November.

The registration for sellers will be closed when the event is fully booked, but given there is still space available, the deadline for registering is October 10th, 2015.

The website will be open for registration of buyers starting mid October. The buyers will then also be able to book meetings right away. If you receive bookings from buyers that you do not want to meet, you should notify us about the situation.

If you find registered buyers you want to meet, and they did not book a meeting with you, it is possible for you to send them an email to make them aware of your interest. We shall also facilitate such an approach closer to the event, where all sellers can list buyers they also want to meet, and the interest will be transferred to the relevant buyers, and they will book those of interest.

You will find the details in the program listed on The official opening shall be at 09.00, followed by a total of 11 meeting slots, and concluding with a lunch at 13.05. It is of course possible for you to have additional meetings in between the slots, during lunch or after the event.

Travel Trade Day:

For 2016, there is a cooperation among various partners, coordinating the activities, creating a full Travel Trade Day concept to optimize the benefits and the efficiency of attending.

In fact, it already starts in the evening of January 14th, when the Grand Travel Awards shall be organized by Travel News.
TravelMatch then starts in the morning of January 15th, with registration and set up of tables from 08.00, and the official program starting at 09.00. Lunch will be served from 13.05.

Following this, being held in the same building, the consumer fair Reiselivsmessen will be open from 13.00, with an official opening at 14.00, and the first two hours being exclusively for the travel trade.

After the closing of the fair at 18.00, there will be a mingle and gathering, followed by the American Party, taking place down town.

NB: There will be transportation organized, both from down town to the fair in the morning, and back to down town in the afternoon. More information about the schedule will be sent to those registered for the event.


TravelMatch is a professional B2B workshop being organized for the 5th time in 2016, owned jointly by ANTOR, Discover America, PATA and Virke (the travel agents association). This is a compact event, where suppliers of all kinds of travel related products & services from and outside Norway have the chance to meet with Norwegian buyers and distributors in the Norwegian market. The event is based on pre-scheduled meetings. The news this coming year, is that the event will be held as part of a compact Travel Trade Day, in the conference center at Telenor Arena on Friday, where the consumer fair Reiselivsmessen opens in the main hall on the same day following the TravelMatch event.

Sellers profile:

This event is primarily suitable for national and regional tourist offices, DMC´s and incoming agents, airlines, ferry companies, cruise lines, hotel chains and other major suppliers of travel services.

Attendance fee:

Fee per company with one table/one person attending: NOK 5.000 (approx. Euros 600).
Fee per company with two companies sharing a table: NOK 3.500 (approx. Euros 360).
For a second person from the same company, the price is NOK 800 (approx. Euros 100).

Buyers profile: 

Buyers in attendance will represent travel agencies, tour operators, event companies, incentive houses, meeting planners and corporate accounts from larger companies.


The event shall be held in the Telenor Arena, a bit outside the city center, but in the same venue as the consumer fair Reiselivsmessen is being held. The venue can be reached easily from the city center by bus, or from other destinations with a combination of train and bus.

Various hotel options are located both close to the venue and in the down town area, close to the buses going to the venue. Special offers will be posted on the website a bit later.
