Crowned as the “Queen City of the South”, Cebu is where business and leisure breathe alongside each other, with office buildings and beach resorts finding their own place under Cebu’s friendly skies.

Cebu is the traveler’s dream of a tropical island come true: balmy weather, pristine beaches, and luxurious resorts with all the frills of modern living. Meanwhile – as the Philippine’s second largest city – Metropolitan Cebu is the political, economic, educational, and cultural center of the Visayas (Philippines’ 3 main island groups).

Hotels, shopping malls, entertainment halls, casinos, and golf fairways are present in the metro to cater to every tourist’s whim.

As the oldest city in the Philippines, its past is firmly entrenched in the annals of the Spanish conquest, when Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan planted the Cross of Christianity in the name of Spain in 1521.

GETTING THERE

Cebu is an international destination with numerous direct daily flights to and from China, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Korea (R.O.K.), Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and scheduled flights to Thailand. Arrival is at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport almost daily. From Manila, Cebu is just an hour away by plane. It is an ideal jump-off point for other tourist attractions in Visayas and Mindanao.
