BAGUIO CITY, June 11, 2019 – Webinar of Pacific Asia Travel Association: PATA DNA x AWECADEMY: The Awe of Alternative Learning

The University of Baguio,  School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management, the Travel Club-PATA UB student chapter conducted a live streaming/webinar event which is entitled as the PATA DNA x AWECADEMY: The Awe of Alternative Learning.

This event was initiated by our BSTM-IT Faculty members and to our ever dynamic Dean of School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management. The program started at exactly  1:30 in the afternoon with the registration of the participants. Ms. Jenelyn M. Magpatoc, the dean of IHTM warmly welcomed the participants, after which the event have already been started

This event aims to achieve the PATA DNA Pillars (expose,  connect and involvement) at a local level, the PATA DNA Series were established in Collaboration with the members and partners with its specific objectives: 1.provide students and academicians a clearer understanding towards the terms “ innovation” and “disruptions”,2.understand what it takes to be the leaders of tomorrow,3.provide a venue for the students to be abreast with the importance  of trends and differences in the industry, 4.guide the students on the comprehensive and up to date, useful and relevant information on exponential technologies and disruptive innovations for professionals and students,5.jumlstart the proactivity with provided tools and opportunities, 6.inspire and motivate students to work in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The was very successful  as students and other participants have learned a lot of things which they can apply in their life and future endeavors.
