BANGKOK, October 7, 2015 — The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Uniiverse Collaborative Lifestyle, Inc. (Universe), the social marketplace for events.

Under the terms of the agreement, PATA will use the Universe event management platform for registration and ticketing for all of its conferences, workshops, seminars and training programmes. PATA members and PATA Chapter members interested in using Universe will have a portion of their fees waived ($0.99/ ticket) for their events along with a dedicated account manager.

PATA CEO Mario Hardy said, “The Universe platform provides the best ticketing solution for our events, especially the social media sharing aspect. It will allow us to more effectively promote and sell our tickets through mobile, social media and on our website.”

Ben Raff, CEO and President, Universe, added, “Universe is excited to partner with PATA and it’s affiliated events. Our mission is to connect people in real life through amazing events, and PATA’s industry leading summits and conferences are some of the best in the industry.”

Universe, launched in 2011 and acquired by Live Nation in 2015, helps event organisers sell tickets, promote, and manage events online, and helps consumers discover events and buy tickets.

The company works with over 28,000 events worldwide, and is one of the fastest growing ticketing platforms. Universe has developed highly effective promotional features that help event organisers leverage social media to increase awareness about their events. Their technology also allows event organisers to sell tickets and process payments directly on their website, and on their Facebook page, with no redirect to an external site.

In addition, the Universe’s Ticket Manager app allows organisers to efficiently scan and sell tickets right from their mobile devices. There is zero setup, no monthly or hidden fees, and low cost payment processing. Universe is easy, fast, and professional. To learn more, visit www.universe.com.
