BANGKOK, November 14, 2018 — The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and Twenty31 Consulting Inc., an innovation-driven management consultancy, today announced a new Preferred Partnership agreement.
As a part of the agreement, both parties agree to collaborate on advocacy and industry affairs, events, and thought leadership research. More specifically, Twenty31 will have the opportunity to advise on the PATA Annual Summit 2019 programme, while PATA will be the exclusive partner on the Pew Charitable Trusts Ocean Legacy Sustainable Thought Leadership project conducted by Twenty31, as well as co-sponsor of the Twenty31/Skylight Destination Brand Index to be launched in 2019.
PATA CEO Dr. Mario Hardy said, “As the Association continues to advocate for a more sustainable and responsible travel and tourism industry, we also look to provide more insights on these issues for the benefit of our members. This partnership allows us to tap into the expertise of Twenty31 to help inform our members of the current issues and trends affecting our industry.”
Greg Klassen, Partner, Twenty31 and former SVP Marketing and Strategy at Destination Canada added, “By 2031, the world will welcome its two billionth international traveller. Many will be seeking the dream of the ever-expanding middle class—a life less ordinary through international travel. But this wanderlust will not be equally and sustainably distributed around the world. As the world’s leading travel and tourism industry association, our partnership with PATA will provide innovative solutions to help destinations and organizations define their unique competitive advantages.”
Twenty31 brings together the power of research, brands, strategy, communications, and technology to create a unique competitive position and a blueprint for the future for global leaders of organisations that span the travel and tourism ecosystem. The organisation moves beyond the data delivered by traditional agencies to unlock meaning, innovative ideas and recommendations to drive corporate, development, investment and brand strategy. The core business of Twenty31 is designing and evaluating destination development and management strategies based on best-practice primary quantitative and qualitative research, meaningful stakeholder engagement and upholding the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals.
