ASIA Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange

[space size=”1″]SINGAPORE (Dec. 9, 2014) [space size=”1″] The second annual Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange (AMITE) will host leading MICE buyers from long-haul markets on 1 July, 2015 at Marina Bay Sands Singapore.[space size=”1″]
AMITE is the Asian edition of the Global Meetings & Incentive Travel Exchange (GMITE) portfolio, the world’s leading MICE exchange program serving the industry for the last 10 years. AMITE is produced by Questex Hospitality + Travel in partnership with the Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS).[space size=”1″]
“AMITE 2015 will not be a typical buyers-meet-sellers travel exchange,” said Janet Tan-Collis, SACEOS President and CEO of East West Planners. “As a professional meeting planner, I know that the week long program provides buyers with insights and value that is more valuable than a simple free trip. It’s crucial that the time spent at AMITE is meaningful and productive.”[space size=”1″]
Participation in AMITE is by invitation only and limited to qualified, high-volume MICE travel buyers with Asia products on their current or past books and near-future plans.[space size=”1″]
“To ensure a positive experience, the interactive format of AMITE 2015 is designed to keep participants actively engaged,” said Marilyn McHugh, Questex Hospitality + Travel vice president, global events. “Suppliers will have the exclusive opportunity to interact with buyers and feature their products throughout the process.”[space size=”1″]
AMITE 2015 will be held in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Singapore MICE Forum (SMF), organised by SACEOS. Buyers at AMITE 2015 will be invited to attend the opening SMF keynote address as special guests of SACEOS.[space size=”1″]
In additional to guaranteed and scheduled one-to-one meetings between
sought-after buyers and reputable suppliers, AMITE 2015 will offer participants networking opportunities, including a welcome cocktail reception and gala dinner.[space size=”1″]
Suppliers and buyers at AMITE 2014 participated in over 340 one-to-one meetings in a single day. Travel suppliers at AMITE 2014 included tourism boards, convention and exhibition bureaus, cruise lines, destination marketing companies, luxury hotels and convention centers.[space size=”1”]
“AMITE was very well planned and executed, and buyers attending had true potential for MICE business to the Asia Pacific region,” said Dominik Trimborn, complex deputy director of sales and marketing for The St. Regis Bali Resorts and The Laguna, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Bali.[space size=”1″]
Wahyu Listyo Adi, Asia World Indonesia manager of events, lauded the experience, saying, “Everything from the meeting appointments, networking lunch and dinners were well organized and gave us an opportunity to present our products and to meet quality buyers as well as suppliers.”[space size=”1”]
“The one-to-one meetings were very fruitful,” said Agnes Csiszar, Incentive Department head for Vista Travel Center, a travel agency from Poland. “I am glad that AMITE had suppliers from all over South East Asia. I learned a lot about Singapore and Sarawak. I truly believe it will help me to promote Asia more than I did in the past.”[space size=”1”]
Her sentiments were echoed by Nongnart Tirasilpa, associate general manager of Your Meeting Incentive Services, who said, “It was a very pleasant and informative event. I met interesting suppliers and I now have a better knowledge of Singapore and the region.”[space size=”1”]
Participation at AMITE 2015 is limited for both buyers and suppliers.
