PATA Gold Awards 2019 is now accepting applications until April 30, 2019. >>

Since 1995, the PATA Gold Awards have helped to highlight outstanding achievements from individuals and organizations each year. Generously supported and sponsored by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) since the award’s inception, winners are selected by an independent judging committee from different sectors of tourism around the world. As submissions have recently opened for PATA Gold Awards 2019, we are taking a moment to look back at awardees from 2018.

Open to members and non-members of the Association, PATA Gold Awards 2018 attracted a total of 200 entries from 87 tourism organizations and individuals. Winners were recognized in 34 categories, including sub-groups within education and training, heritage and culture, marketing excellence, corporate social responsibility, and excellence in travel journalism.

A special booklet was published to accompany the award presentation that took place during a special luncheon at PATA Travel Mart 2018 in Langkawi, Malaysia. Its pages showcase each of the awardees and their outstanding activities that helped them to win their awards. There is also a brief overview of the judging committee, which is comprised of 14 senior executives from different sectors of the tourism industry.
