Sabrina is in her final year of her PhD at AUT examining the factors that contribute to the tourists’ individual processes of experience accumulation.
Sabrina’s academic journey started in 2009 when she completed her degree in Tourism and Event Management East Asia in her hometown Hamburg. In the same year, she graduated from the University of Sunderland with a Bachelor degree in Business Management. After finishing her Masters in International Tourism Management at the West Coast University (Heide, Germany) in 2011, she worked as a research assistant and consultant at the Germany-based research institute IMT. Having worked for the company for only a year, she became project leader and was responsible for several projects in the field of strategic destination management and destination branding. With her international experiences of having lived in Shanghai and Auckland, she was also accountable for the internationalisation strategy of the organisation.
Sabrina considers herself as a world citizen, she loves to travel and to learn different languages – besides her PhD studies she is currently taking a certificate course in Te Reo Māori as her sixth language.
