Meet Our New Interns!

We’ve had the pleasure to welcome new staff who joined us as Intern Associates and helped us through the first quarter of 2022. Get to know them and their experience at PATA!

Anshisa Denvuttivorakarn (An An) - Events Intern

Greetings everyone! My name is Anshisa Denvuttivorakarn or you can call me An-An for short. I come from Bangkok, Thailand where PATA is headquartered at. I am currently studying for my Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Management Technology at Thammasat University and also in Law at Ramkhamhaeng University.

I am passionate about learning life through travelling and exploring new things. It excites me when I visit new places, learn about different cultures, histories, beliefs, scenarios and see other people live their lives. I just love to travel because it makes me realise that the world is so beautiful and there is so much to admire and treasure. So I am therefore always looking forward to growing my real-world experience in the travel and tourism industry and helping me be a little part of refining and developing our world.

Thank you so much for this incredible internship opportunity, especially the Event Department. I’m so grateful for all the advice and experiences you have given me and I wish the PATA team all the best.

Eunkyu “Nick” Chun - Youth Intern

My Name is Eunkyu Chun and I go by Nick. I am from Korea (ROK) and I am currently studying International Hospitality Management at Enderun Colleges in the Philippines. Currently at the Youth Department, I am working on an online platform for active networking and communication of PATA Youth members. Hope to see all the members around the world soon!

Lau Yuen Ting (Angel) - Events Intern

Hello! This is Angel from Hong Kong SAR. I’m currently majoring in Tourism and Event Management in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is my honour to work with the PATA family as my first internship. Glad to have this valuable chance to meet my lovely colleagues all around the world! In the event department, I got the opportunity to do research and presentations on some destinations that I have never been to or even heard about. It always reminds me how wonderful and how big our planet Earth is. I can’t wait to backpack again and visit those fascinating places!

My passion towards the event industry was ensured during my university life but became steadier once I started working here. Not just working within my department, the collaboration with other departments provides me a precious opportunity to express my strengths in communication and organisation. I found so much fun when writing blog posts and planning different scales of internal events. As an intern, we are being nurtured as the future leaders of the travel industry. I believe that the leadership skills I achieved during this six-month internship program will empower me to be a passionate and dedicated young professional standing out in this highly competitive industry. Let’s see!

Linh Chi Phan Minh - Marketing Intern

Hey there! My name is Linh Chi, but feel free to refer to me as Lin. I am currently studying Commerce and Marketing in Budapest Metropolitan University in Hungary. I’ve always been interested in learning more about the tourism industry and PATA has provided me with the opportunity. I learned more about content writing, travel innovations, project management, and much more. I can’t express how grateful I am for this opportunity.

Neal Liu - SIC Intern

Cordial greetings! I am a fresh graduate from the Faculty of Travel and Hospitality Management at the Macao University of Science and Technology with a major in Hotel Management and am a former member of the PATA Macao SAR Student Chapter. I am currently working at the SIC department of PATA as an associate, supporting the team with collecting key tourism data, managing PATAmPower membership accounts and assisting with report reviewing and proofreading that include the Asia Pacific Destinations Forecast 2022-2024 which has been released and is now available at https://www.pata.org/catalog.

Pauline Yang - Youth Intern

Aloha! My name is Pauline Yang and I am a graduate from the School of Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa with an emphasis in Hospitality & Tourism. Throughout my collegiate career, I have gained experiences that helped shape me to where I am today. My love for the travel industry grew when I started to realise that magic happens once connections are made and nurtured through every relationship that has come her way. A few of my passions within the tourism industry lie in sustainable development, leadership management, community based enterprises, and intercultural exchanges.

Currently, I am a PATA Youth Associate, supporting initiatives like the new PATA Youth website that just launched, and empowering budding young industry professionals to live their own potential. Being a PATA Youth Associate has been rewarding as I got to learn more about my strengths, plan different events, and actively engage with a wide network.

As we recover, I believe that in order for us to move forward into the future successfully, we must all be willing to trust and collaborate.

Pham Huyen My - Marketing Intern

Hello everyone! My name is Huyen My from Hanoi, Vietnam. I’m currently studying tourism and hospitality management at RMIT University Vietnam. Joining PATA has enriched my knowledge, skills and interest in the tourism industry, which would be very valuable in the future! My time with PATA has been more than decent, I also made lots of friends and encountered great ideas about the industry through my work. I'm grateful for this opportunity

Vikon Chow - Membership Intern

Hello everybody! This is Vikon Chow from Canton. I am a sophomore studying for a bachelor's degree of Tourism Development and Management at Arizona State University. I love travelling and I’ve been to more than ten countries, UAE, Singapore, Korea (ROK), Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. Simultaneously, that’s the reason why I chose TDM as my major and joined PATA.

This year has been a covid highlight and everything else blurred into the background. I hope that the tourism industry can resume its prosperity as soon as possible, and everyone can enjoy the charm of tourism in the future. Thanks PATA. Thanks everyone.
