National Tourism Day 2022 Webinar by Mr. Lokesh Matta

Bangalore, India, January 25, 2022 – National Tourism Day is celebrated across the country on January 25 every year. This is the celebration of a country’s beauty and the rich resources it has for tourism. The day aims to spread awareness of tourism’s importance and potential on a national level and how it impacts the economy at a large.

Several seminars, webinars, cultural events and other programmes are organized by different organizations to promote and discuss about tourism at various levels. Even though the tourism industry has been hit by the pandemic, the goal of these events is to see the positivity in what lies ahead in the future in travel.

PATA India CHRIST University student chapter hosted a webinar talking about National Tourism Day celebration in association with International Air Transport Association (IATA). Our guest speaker for the hour was Mr. Lokesh Matta, Regional Business Development Manager, IATA training in South Asia.

During this event, Mr. Matta gave insightful information about the many IATA courses students may take and the benefits that come along with them. He also gave an overview and what employment opportunities there are in the aviation industry. His session encouraged the participants clear their doubts and motivated them to explore the various fields in the tourism industry.

We saw exceptionally sound interest among members, which left us energized and excited for how we may utilize the aviation sector to make positive differences within the travel industry. This was a phenomenal chance and learning experience for everyone to deepen knowledge about the IATA courses and the aviation industry.
