  • Amidst the monsoon season we celebrate an annual festival National Paddy Day (Dhan Ropai Diwas) on 15th of Ashadh (30 June this year) in Nepal, which marks the beginning of the rice planting season. Farmers work all day in the paddy field and take rest by enjoying Dahi Chiura (yogurt and beaten rice, a staple in Nepal). An auspicious celebrated day for the Nepalese.

  • Taktsang Monastery is one of the famous Buddhist Monasteries of Bhutan which is situated on the side of a vertical cliff at 3000 m altitude north of Paro. This monastery creates an impressive sight and is the unofficial symbol of Bhutan also known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest’.

  • The Barkher Street is the Oldest street in Lhasa, where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble. It is also Tibet’s ‘Sacred Way’ flowing hundreds of Buddhist pilgrims every day walking clockwise, but some progress by body lengths along the street into deep night to worship Sakyamuni.

  • The iconic Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2023 will be making a ‘physical’ comeback from 23rd to 25th June 2023 at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Sarawak, Malaysia. The annual music festival organised by the Sarawak Tourism Board will see musicians and fans of world music all over the globe congregating, sharing and experiencing different sounds from across the world. The festival line-up will feature a total of 199 musicians from 12 countries, across 4 continents to perform a diverse range of music genres, including Grammy Awards winner, Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Balairdo from France. Sarawak Tourism Board invites visitors from around the globe to RWMF for a holistic experience and emotion of the entire festival, which promises harmony, diversity and culture, connected by music and dance.
