The programme allows young talents to engage with industry leaders and peers, share their ideas and insights, and learn about the latest trends in the tourism industry.

Themed “Empowering Youth for a Creative, Sustainable, and Inclusive Tourism & Hospitality Future“, PATA Youth Symposium (PYS) X 4th Education in Hospitality and Tourism Forum (EHTF) 2026 will serve as a strategic youth-driven platform to bridge academia, industry, and community through dialogues, co-creation and experiential learning.
The 20th edition will be held under the overall theme "AI and Digital Transformation in Tourism".
This milestone edition will reinforce the Forum's role as a premier regional platform for tourism intelligence, strengthening collaboration among UN Tourism, PATA, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Guilin Municipal People's Government.

What exactly is Smart Tourism? What does the future of smart cities look like? ‘Smartness’ here refers to how technology has made everything more interconnected, and this, in turn, produces innovative services and products that maximize value for everyone involved. Has the global pandemic accelerated the development of Smart Tourism and increased the importance of Smart Cities?
Join our expert speakers, Nia Klatte (Executive Director & Regional Sustainability Coordinator, Khiri Reach), and Roi Ariel (General Manager, Global Sustainable Tourism Council), as they teach us this important soft skill. Learn the art of communicating sustainability to three target audiences: fellow co-workers, tour operators and destination management companies (DMCs) across the supply chain, and external partners.
The global pandemic has disrupted our lives, our jobs and our studies but it does not need to disrupt our passion for travelling! This packed 2-hour workshop will teach you the basics of tour guiding and help you leverage a free tool – Google Street View – to create a virtual tour experience! It's time to learn a new skill.
