Srijan Parsheera - Membership Intern

I am Srijan Parsheera, and I have successfully completed my undergraduate degree in tourism from Christ University, Bangalore. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's Degree in tourism from Himachal University in Shimla, situated in the Indian Himalayan region.

My primary interest lies in gaining a comprehensive understanding of tourism on a global scale, with the aim of contributing to this vibrant industry both today and in the future. My connection with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) goes back to my childhood, as my grandfather's travel company, Adventure India, was a PATA international member during my early years. The membership certificates from that time are still prominently displayed on the walls of our home's meeting room.

The recent PATA Travel Mart held in Delhi proved to be a pivotal moment for me. It inspired me to forge a closer connection with this organisation. During the event, I had the pleasure of meeting Nick and Phimphika through Aunty Ben, whom I haven't met in person yet but have known my father for the past fourteen years. I had the opportunity to interact during the youth forum, providing me with valuable experience. Subsequently, through the internship procedure, I was lucky to be selected.

Since I began working in the online mode from January 4, I have been virtually acquainted with the friendly people and the nature of the work at PATA.

I cherish every moment spent in this dynamic environment. The overall atmosphere is highly encouraging, and I consider myself fortunate to be associated with global leaders in the tourism sector.

I eagerly anticipate coming back as soon as possible and spending some more time with everyone in this wonderful organisation.
