Qatar has paused its visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani nationals, asking travellers to secure visas before flying; Qatar has extended similar caution to Lebanese nationals. Saudi Arabia:
The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia has announced a temporary visa relief measure for foreign visitors due to disruptions caused by the ongoing US-Israel war with Iran. The King Khalid International Airport (RUH) (KKIA) in Riyadh remains open.
Saudia has partially resumed flight operations to and from Dubai, but flights to and from certain destinations will remain cancelled.
Saudi’s low-cost carrier Flynas flights to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Iraq, Sharjah, and Syria will remain suspended until March 31; Another low-cost Saudi airline, Flyadeal, has also announced the cancellation of some of its flights. Time Out Riyadh (Mar 17)

The Embassy of India in Riyadh is obtaining individual transit visa approvals from the Saudi Government. Priority is given to stranded Indian nationals, especially those on tourist or short-term visas to transit through Saudi Arabia from Bahrain. These transit visa requests are referred by the Embassy of India in Bahrain to the Embassy of India in Riyadh.

Mexico

Starting in August, Mexico will launch an electronic visa platform for foreign tourists eliminating the need for in-person visits to consular offices. The e-visa costing 32 USD is not valid for travel by land or sea. It only applies to foreigners entering via air for tourism, cultural or family purposes and require a visa to enter mexico. It does not allow any work activities and is valid for a maximum of 180 days. Infants under two years old are exempt from the payment.

Beginning 21 January 2026, Bangladeshi nationals approved for new B-1/B-2 visitor visas will have to post a U.S.$15,000 “departure bond” before they can travel to the United States. Only visas issued on or after 21 January will be subject to the bond.

The visa bond programme is being expanded to apply to a total of 50 countries on April 2 and will require foreign nationals from these countries to post a bond of up to $15,000 before receiving B1 or B2 visas for business and tourism in the United States. Regarding the situation in West Asia
Travellers who remain in Thailand with an expired permission to stay and wish to depart the Kingdom will have their overstay fines waived. No penalty payment will be required when exiting Thailand under these circumstances.
