Bahrain:

  • Bahrain International Airport remaining open and commercial flights resuming, Bahrain's aviation sector is gradually returning to normal operations. Travellers are still advised to check directly with their airlines for the latest schedule updates, as some services may continue to experience adjustments. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 6)

  • Gulf Air has restored its global flight network to 75% of its pre-conflict capacity. Passengers with confirmed bookings up to 30 June are eligible for one complimentary rebooking, valid until 31 March 2027. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 12)

Kuwait:

  • Flights from Engalurur to Kuwait under Air India Express will resume on July 4 with a weekly operation that will expand into a three-day service on July 7. Travel Daily Media (Jul 6)

  • Kuwait International Airport is facing 54 delays and 4 cancellations as of July 13. Travellers arriving or departing from the airport are advised to review updated flight information and to note Terminal 1 remains closed. Travel and Tour World (Jul 13)

Oman:

  • Oman Air has resumed flights to the West Asia this July 2026, including services to Amman (Jordan), Baghdad (Iraq), Beirut (Lebanon), Damascus (Syria), and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 3)

Qatar:

  • Qatar Airways confirmed it would be increasing its operations to and from Dubai, with a fourth added on June 15 before the fifth daily flight will be introduced later this summer 2026. Condé Nast Traveller (Jun 5)

  • Sweden has eased its travel advisory for Qatar by lifting its regulations against non-essential travel. Sweden Herald (Jul 6)

  • Qatar Airways has resumed its UAE operations, restoring multiple daily flights to Dubai alongside services to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 12)

  • Qatar Airways continues the July flight suspension to Bahrain, Kuwait and Erbil until August 7. Marhaba Qatar (Aug 3)

Iran:

  • Iran announces partial re-opening of airspace, allowing eastern route transits. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 20)

The UAE:

  • The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that all airspace restrictions have now been lifted, bringing flight operations across the country back to normal. Emirates and Etihad Airways are scaling up, now operating at roughly 80 percent and 75 percent of pre-conflict capacity. Travel Leisure (May 2)

  • Air Arabia has launched a new route connecting Sharjah and London Gatwick, while also resuming its daily flights to Aleppo, Syria, commencing just this July 4. By July 10, the airlines is expecting to introduce a second daily service on the route, increasing capacity & passenger flexibility. Gulf News (Jul 6)

  • This July, Emirates has issued a travel advisory for families travelling to the UAE & other destinations in West Asia––advising passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure, complete security screening at least 90 minutes before their flight, and be at their boarding gate no later than one hour before departure. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 12)

  • Air Arabia has launched operating scheduled flights between Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and multiple international destinations, including but not limited to Athens, Vienna, Jeddah, Jathmandu, and Bangkok.

    For passengers whose flights were previously cancelled, a rebooking option is available given they have not selected a modification or refund option. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 20)

  • Multiple UAE airlines such as Etihad Airways, Flydubai and Air Arabia have cancelled flights to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Kuwait. Resumption of travel services to aforementioned destinations have not been announced this August 3. Gulf News (Jul 3)

Saudi Arabia:

  • Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Flynas has announced the launch of direct flights between Riyadh and Aleppo, beginning on 1 August. Flynas (Jul 10)

  • Flynas, Saudi Arabia's budget airlines, is currently operating daily flights to Doha, Dubai and Bahrain alongside several international destinations such as the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Germany. Conde Nast Traveller (Jul 20)

  • National flag carrier airline, Saudia, anounced an updated reservation system where travellers may review cancellations and schedule changes through the end of October 2026. Gulf News (Aug 3)

The Americas:

Canada

Air Canada has cancelled all flights to Tel Aviv and Dubai until October 24 or a new notice arises.

Flydubai is expanding its Thailand network by launching a new daily service to Bangkok, increasing travel capacity between the UAE and Thailand, which has commenced on July 01.

Travellers who remain in Thailand with an expired permission to stay and wish to depart the Kingdom will have their overstay fines waived. No penalty payment will be required when exiting Thailand under these circumstances.

Foreign nationals who wish to remain in Thailand may apply for a temporary stay extension. Each extension may be granted for a period of up to 30 days per permission.

In cases where the traveller’s permission to stay has already expired, immigration officers will first process the fine settlement in accordance with the law before considering the request for an extension of temporary stay.
