Currently Disrupted
The Langtang, Rasuwa and Bhote Koshi corridor is closed. Travel there is not possible. The Galchhi–Syabrubesi road is closed.
Search and rescue is active, and authorities have warned of further flooding from a barrier lake upstream.
The Everest and Annapurna regions are outside the affected river system and were not in the flood path. PATA Nepal Chapter will confirm operating conditions in the affected region in subsequent updates as the situation stabilises.

Air India will resume direct Delhi–Tel Aviv flights from December 1, 2026, operating five weekly flights (Sun–Thu) on Boeing 777s as the sole non-stop carrier on the route. Israel's Tourism Ministry sees this as reviving a key India market (nearly 70,000 pre-pandemic annual visitors) and is pairing it with trade partnerships to attract a broader mix of Indian travelers. Germany issued a NOTAM (EDWW B0746/26) on September 11, 2026, valid until November 12, 2026, explicitly barring German-registered aircraft from entering Iranian airspace. Following the September 9 strike, flag carrier––Royal Jordanian Airlines confirms restored operations to Bahrain, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah. Moreover, there has been no new suspensions to other parts of West Asia. Wego (Sep 14)

Kuwait:
Kuwait sits at Level 3 Reconsider Travel under the same regional advisory umbrella. On top of this, nationals of Iran, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Sudan and Pakistan are barred from visa-on arrival and must obtain a Kuwait e-visa in advance, transit through Kuwait for these nationalities is also currently blocked. Maldives:
Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, confirms seven additional airlines with carriers from Ethiopia, Russia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Armenia, France and Kuwait, will begin operating flights to Maldives. Oman:
Regional airlines such as Oman Air have had to divert, cancel or delay some flights to and from Riyadh and surrounding areas following attacks on Saudi civilian facilities. Qatar:

Saudi Arabia:
Italy's carrier airline, ITA Airways, resumed service to Riyadh last September 15 and has no further announcements of posisble cancellations. ITA Airways (Sep 21)
EASA issued CZIB-2026-09, advising EU and EASA-authorised third-country operators not to operate at any altitude within a defined area of the Jeddah FIR, and to exercise caution in the remainder of the FIR, due to increased risks from Houthi missile and drone attacks and air-defence activity. The bulletin is valid until 16 November 2026, unless reviewed earlier. The measure is an operator advisory and does not constitute a closure of Saudi Arabian airspace. EASA (Sep 30)

Spain:
Spain's embassy in Saudi Arabia urged its nationals to avoid Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport and follow local security instructions after a Houthi attack. Regional flights have been rescheduled and delays have spread. NDTV (Oct 11)
Spanish unions UGT and CCOO have announced a general strike for November 11, 2026, which is expected to disrupt ground handling services, Renfe regional trains, metro services, and potentially air travel. Minimum service levels have yet to be confirmed. Deep Arrival (Oct 10)
Direct flights between Alicante-Elche airport and Eindhoven will be suspended from February 1 to July 18, 2027, because of runway renovation work in the Netherlands. Separately, Ryanair will end its operations at Bremen from April 2027. The Olive Press (Oct 9)
Sri Lanka:
Due to security concerns and the temporary shutdown of Riyadh Airport, SriLankan Airlines has temporarily halted all flights to and from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, until October 18, 2026. English News (Oct 10)
The UAE:
Emirates has issued an unlimited date change policy. The practice remains valid across all fares. Additionally, the airlines has reduced refund fees on its flights to Dubai. Conde Nast Traveller (Aug 12)
Etihad extends flight select services commencement after its brief pause last August 21. The airlines will accommodate booking changes up until March 31, 2027 with no additional fee.
Additionally, Flydubai cancels flights to several destinations including Doha, Erbil, Hargeisa, Mahe, Entebbe and Asmara. Passengers are advised to keep checking their flight status as regional destinations such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain continue to face sudden schedule changes. Conde Nast (Aug 24)

Canada

Canada extended temporary Ebola-related border measures until 27 November 2026. Travelers whose last country of residence was the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda or South Sudan cannot currently travel to Canada, including those holding valid visas, permits or eTAs.

U.S. Department of State opens the nonimmigrant visa (NIV) expedited appointment program, which will run through December 31. Eligible applicants for B visas may pay a $750 fee on top of the $185 MRV fee.
Select embassies including Mission Canada, Embassy Bogota and Mission Mexico are included in this pilot testing phase which applicants can reach out to for their expedited appointments.

Solomon Islands' officiates an electronic system for visa applications and decisions.
The new system allows applicants to apply, be processed, approved and recorded online. Approved travellers will receive pre-entry authorisation to enter for an initial period of 30 days visa-free and those staying longer may apply through the same online portal for an extended stay. The tourist visa subclass allows for a total stay of up to 180 days, subject to the destination's respective laws.

Tonga

Travellers are required to hold passports with a validity of a minimum of 6 months and must proceed immediately to a Customs Officer at Passport Control booths provided for the necessary immigration clearances when entering Tonga. In addition, citizens of all other countries need visas to enter Tonga (prior to arrival) and ensure that their visas remain valid for any period for which they are in the Kingdom.
Some countries are offered a 30-day tourist visa on arrival in Tonga (listed in announcement). Visiting Tonga for a period of not less than 30 days is required to obtain an entry permit issued by the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to arriving in Tonga.
