LuxGroup Foundation Brings Light to the Rocky Highlands with 30 Solar Installations
LuxGroup Foundation, the charitable arm of LuxGroup, has successfully completed its community initiative “Lighting Up the Rocky Highlands” in Lung Sinh Hamlet, Pho Bang Commune, Tuyen Quang Province (formerly Ha Giang). As part of the project, 30 solar-powered lights were installed along the main village road and at the local school, providing safer and brighter nights for the community.
Beyond infrastructure improvements, the initiative also brought joy and togetherness with Lung Sinh’s very first Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. More than 100 children and villagers joined the festivities, parading with lanterns, singing, and receiving meaningful gifts from the volunteer team.
Nestled deep within the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, Lung Sinh is an isolated hamlet with 68 households—56 of which are classified as poor or near-poor. The installation of solar-powered lights not only improves safety for villagers traveling after dark but also enhances their overall quality of life.
The project was carried out with the support of Ha Giang Tre, Lux Cruises Group, local authorities, and generous donors. In addition to the solar light installation and Mid-Autumn program, the volunteer team visited disadvantaged households to deliver rice, warm blankets, and school supplies to local children.
Dr. Pham Ha, Founder and CEO of LuxGroup, shared:
“Lighting Up the Rocky Highlands is not just a charitable program, but a long-term commitment to the community. Witnessing the joy of villagers and the smiles of children celebrating Mid-Autumn under the new lights strengthens our belief in our mission to deliver happiness through tourism and ESG values.”
The program concluded with lasting impressions of compassion, unity, and hope for a brighter future in Lung Sinh
