PATA Executive Board and Board Meeting 2019

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) would like to invite all PATA Board and Committee members to attend the forthcoming PATA Executive Board and PATA Board Meeting, which will be held right after PATA Travel Mart 2019 (PTM 2019).

This year, PTM 2019 will be held at the Korme Exhibition Center in Nur-Sultan (Astana), Kazakhstan, from September 18-20. The PATA Board and Committee Meetings will be held at the Hilton Astana, from September 20-21. All registered PATA Board, Committee and Life members will be offered a complimentary badge to visit the entire PTM 2019.

The Hilton Astana is the meeting venue for the PATA Executive Board and Board Meetings. Please access this link for the hotel booking. Due to limitation of hotel room availability at Hilton Astana, PATA encourages board and committee members to register the meeting and make hotel reservation as early as possible.

Please note that there will be no official transfer provided between official hotels. Members are requested to arrange their own transfer to attend the meetings at the Hilton Astana.


PTM 2019 Host (Kazakh Tourism National Company), will operate official transportation for arrival and departure and between PTM 2019 official hotels and KORME Exhibition Center, dinner receptions, PTM forums, Welcome Reception and all official functions per the following schedule.

The PTM 2019 official transport schedule serves only to/from official hotels (as listed). If you are not staying at an official hotel, you are required to arrange your own transportation.

Arrival Transfers

Arrival transfer service will be in operation from Nur-Sultan International Airport (TSE) on September 17-18 to official hotels. All non-hosted delegates are required to submit their flight details to local transfer team email to no later than August 31. Delegates arriving outside these dates are required to arrange their own transfer.

*** PATA Board Members are welcome to join PTM arrival transfer on September 17-18, and will be offered additional transfer to Hilton Astana on September 19. Please submit your flight details to Ms. Tippawan at

After Customs clearance, delegates are required to identify themselves to the local transfer staff holding PATA signage or approach PTM 2019 hospitality desk to guide way to transportation.

Departure Transfers

Departure transfer service will be in operation from official hotels to Nur-Sultan International Airport (TSE) on September 20 evening – September 22. All delegates are required to confirm their pick-up time at the PTM 2019 hospitality desk upon arrival at KORME. Delegates departing outside these dates and/or not staying at the official hotels are required to arrange their own transfer.

* Hilton Astana transfer is for PATA Board Members only
* PATA Members staying outside Hilton Astana are required to arrange own transfer to Hilton Astana for their meeting.

Welcome to Nur-Sultan (ASTANA)

Representing its first foray into Central Asia, PTM 2019 is set in the forward-looking, modern city of Nur-Sultan (Astana) – ‘the term for ‘the capital city’ in Kazakh and host to Expo 2017. Situated on the northern steppes of Kazakhstan, Astana boasts a spectacular skyline of mind-blowing, avant-garde landmark buildings, many of them by leading international architects. PTM 2019 is generously  hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Tourism National Company JSC.




Bayterek Monument
Astana’s most prominent landscape, this 97m-high monument and observation tower offers an art gallery, a small aquarium and a restaurant. The design embodies a Kazakh legend in which the mythical bird Samruk lays a golden egg containing the secrets of human desires and happiness in a tall poplar tree, beyond human reach.



Khan Shatyr Shopping Mall
Designed by renowned British architect Lord Norman Foster, Khan Shatyr holds the world record as the biggest building in the world having the tent form. Standing at nearly 152 meters tall, it boasts a beach resort situated within the building featuring year-round tropical climate and plants, including sand brought from the Maldives.



Astana Opera
The State Opera and Ballet Theatre “Astana Opera” stands as the third biggest opera in the world and is constructed according to the best classical architectural traditions entwined with Kazakh national motifs. The acoustics of the theatre is considered one of the best in the world and was designed by the Italian Biobyte is one of Italy’s leading companies in room and building acoustics.





A country the size of Western Europe, Kazakhstan is defined by its contrasting geographical diversity, stretching from the mountainous regions of the East to the lowlands in the West, and from the Siberian terrain of the North through the dry steppes of the center, to the fertile south. A popular destination among many is the Burabay reserve, a remarkable oasis situated right in the middle of the Kazakh steppes, combining snow covered mountains and clean lakes.




Astana International Airport is about 15 km south of central Astana, serving Budapest, Paris, Kiev, Moscow, Beijing, Delhi, Seoul, Bangkok, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, London, Warsaw and Frankfurt as well as several domestic destinations. Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, flies to both domestic and international locations from Astana International Airport.

There are a number of nationalities which can enter Kazakhstan without a visa for periods of up to 30 days. These countries include the US, Canada, all EU countries, Brazil, and Argentina. Citizens from 8 neighboring countries can enter for up to 90 days visa-free (Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Mongolia). Procedures to obtain Kazakhstan Visa
  1. Non-hosted delegates are requested to fill in the Application Form  with the scan of passport and contact our Sales Agent, SkyWay LTD. at to get the Letter of Invitation (LOI), US$10 each will be applied.
  2. They will proceed with the letter within 5 working days and will send the letter to the delegate directly.
  3. After receiving the letter, delegates should go to Consulate in their country or apply eVisa at and the visa fee is US$60
