Jeremy Jauncey, the founder of Beautiful Destinations, is a passionate believer in the power of visual storytelling and its impact in spreading positivity and inspiration. Under his leadership, Beautiful Destinations has evolved from a passion project on Instagram into a media company with the largest travel community on social media, with over 15 million followers in 180 countries.
Growing up on a farm in Perthshire, Scotland with a Colombian mother and Scottish father, travel has always been in Jeremy’s blood. He moved to New Zealand for a career in rugby upon completing secondary school, which opened his eyes to how big the world is and how little he’d seen of it. This is when Jeremy’s passion for travel really ignited. His life took an unexpected turn after a sports-related injury, but his mother always instilled in him the power of positivity. Jeremy put all of his time and energy into developing as an entrepreneur in the healthcare and tech industries, launching his business career by growing the European arm of one of the world’s largest e-commerce and rewards businesses. At its peak, the business had over 300 employees and raised over 50 million dollars in venture funding.
Jeremy has since founded and invested in multiple companies including digital health platform, Tictrac; private jet charter application, Fly Victor; and photo sharing application, Vhoto, which was acquired by Hulu. Jeremy is a fellow of the British American Project, sat on the Board of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) in the United Kingdom and was a dealmaker and ambassador for UK entrepreneurship in the UK Trade & Investment’s Global Entrepreneur Program (GEP).
Throughout years of business travel, Jeremy felt he didn’t have a go-to resource for travel inspiration that resonated with him and other millennials. He knew there was an opportunity to fill the void, and social media had always been an outlet to get his creative juices flowing. This, combined with Jeremy’s passion in seeking amazing stories of places, people and experiences, was his inspiration behind creating Beautiful Destinations.
Today, Jeremy’s mission is to make the world a better place through the sharing of authentic, inspirational and immersive travel stories of beauty and hope. He’s been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, Entrepreneur, GQ, Harper’s BAZAAR, Travel + Leisure, People, The New York Post, Skift, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, DuJour, ITV and more. In addition to travel, Jeremy is very passionate about fitness and nutrition, which he maintains throughout his adventures.
