Learn How to Take the Next Step Towards Inclusive Travel
As we celebrate 10 years, we want to spotlight one of the most meaningful things Travel Unity has built: a certification pathway that gives travel professionals a clear, credible way to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion.
Certifications matter because claiming a commitment to diversity and equity is easy. Demonstrating it is harder. Our programs give individuals and organizations a real framework to work from, recognized standards to align with, and a credential that tells travelers, partners, and colleagues that you are serious about this work.
We currently offer the following programs:
TUIC (Travel Unity Individual Certificate) -- Entry and mid-level travel professionals. This is our baseline certificate, introducing the travel industry and inclusion in travel.
TDP (Travel DEI Practitioner) -- For professionals in management roles. Participants explore how to implement inclusion within their organizations, including a capstone project and three-month check-in.
CDTP (Certified Diversity Travel Professional) -- For executive-level professionals. Participants develop and complete vetted DEI plans based on Travel Unity's Standards for their organizations.
CBTU (Certified by Travel Unity) -- For organizations. The travel and tourism industry's only certification program that validates visitor-facing organizations' DEI efforts, open to hotels, attractions, DMOs, CVBs, museums, and more.
Over the past 10 years, we have heard from certified professionals across the industry who say these programs gave them not just a credential, but clarity and confidence to do this work well.
