Marianas Visitors Authority Seeks Firm to Boost Tourism Marketing in Japan

SAIPAN, CNMI — The Marianas Visitors Authority (MVA) issues a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting qualified firms to provide representation, promotional, and public relations services aimed at strengthening the destination's presence in the Japan market.

The Request For Proposal (RFP) sets a submission deadline of 3:00 p.m. Chamorro Standard Time on October 1, 2026. Interested parties may pick up the RFP package starting September 1, 2026, at the MVA office located at 3366 Beach Road, Gold Beach Hotel Building, I Liyang, Saipan, during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. MVA notes the package can also be sent by email to interested parties upon request.

Proposals must be submitted as sealed bids to MVA's Procurement Office at the agency's Saipan headquarters. Firms located outside the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) face an additional requirement: their submissions must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service or a certified courier service on or before the October 1 deadline, and they must first notify MVA's Procurement Office in writing of their intent to submit. That notice of intent — which can be sent by fax or email — must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. ChST on September 25, 2026.

The solicitation underscores the CNMI's continued push to revive and grow visitor arrivals from Japan, historically one of the destination's most significant source markets. By contracting dedicated representation and public relations support in Japan, MVA aims to sustain marketing momentum and rebuild demand for the Marianas as a travel destination among Japanese consumers.
