PATA Nepal Chapter - Nepal’s Active Participation in PATA Travel Mart 2023 in New Delhi, India

 
 
 

Kathmandu– 08 October 2023 – Nepal made a notable presence at the PATA Travel Mart 2023 (PTM 2023), generously hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which attracted over 1,000 delegates from 46 global destinations. The delegate numbers included 159 sellers from 92 organizations and 15 destinations, as well as 196 buyers from 191 organizations and 38 source markets. Furthermore, PTM 2023 attracted over 350 local and international students and young tourism professionals from 10 local and international universities as a part of the PATA Youth Symposium held on 5th October at the International Exhibition Convention Centre (IECC).

PATA Nepal Chapter, in collaboration with seven PATA member organizations from the tourism fraternity of Nepal, including Himalayan Holidays Trekking, Destinago Tours & Travels, Fishtail Tours and Travels, KGH Group of Hotels & Resorts, Mystic Voyages, Visit Himalaya Treks, and Majestic Group Nepal, showcased and promoted the best of Nepal's tourism offerings at PTM 2023.

PTM 2023 officially kicked off in New Delhi, India, on Wednesday, October 4th, with the Inauguration Ceremony & Welcome Reception at the Ashok Hotel, graciously inaugurated by Ms. V. Vidyavathi, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

The event featured two days of B2B sessions on October 5th and 6th, 2023, held at the IECC, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. PATA Nepal Chapter and exhibitors from Nepal played a pivotal role in disseminating valuable tourism information about Nepal to both international delegates and local trade visitors. Additionally, tourism entrepreneurs engaged in discussions about holiday packages, new adventure and wellness products/services, and explored business opportunities with global buyers at the Nepal Stalls. PATA Nepal Chapter has also extended an invitation to delegates to participate in the 5th edition of the Himalayan Travel Mart in Kathmandu, Nepal, scheduled from June 4th to 7th, 2024.

 
 

After participating in PTM, the PATA Nepal Chapter actively engaged in the PATA Chapters Congress and PATA Board Meetings held on October 7th at Le Meridien in New Delhi, India, further enhancing Nepal's presence in the global travel and tourism industry.

Nepal's enthusiastic participation at PTM 2023 emphasized the country's dedication to fostering international tourism collaborations and promoting its unparalleled attractions and tourism prospects in global markets.
