Layovers at the airport get a bad rap as a long and tiring part of a trip or short and rushed. But what if there are ways to make the layovers part of the trip itself? Gone are the days when airport layovers need to be tedious and boring. For some destinations, stopover tourism is part of their key strategies in driving visitors and increasing spend.
