Binita Shah Khadka

Senior External Relations Officer, Asian Development Bank (ADB) Nepal

Binita Shah Khadka has been working in the field of advocacy and communications since the last 20 years. She is currently working for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Nepal as Senior External Relations Officer. Prior to Joining ADB, she worked with UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia. Besides her work in Nepal, she has also worked on short-term assignments with UNICEF in Bhutan, the Maldives and India and ADB Armenia Resident Mission. At UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia, she was part of the team that organized the Fair Play for Girls' campaign to promote girls' education in South Asia in partnership with the Asian Cricket Council. At ADB, she is responsible for developing and implementing outreach plans to engage with the media, civil society and other stakeholders to share and discuss ADB's policies, programs, studies, and projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from St. Bede’s College in Shimla, India, and a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University.
