Julinus Jeffery Jimit

Chief Executive Officer, Sabah Tourism Board

Mr. Julinus Jeffery Jimit is the Chief Executive Officer of the Sabah Tourism Board (STB). A Chartered Accountant by profession, he brings over two decades of experience across both the corporate and tourism sectors. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr. Julinus served with Ernst & Young LLP for more than 12 years, specializing in audit and advisory services. He later joined the Sabah Tourism Board, where he has dedicated over 10 years to driving Sabah’s tourism growth and stretegic positioning.

As a Certified Train-the-Trainer and long-serving tourism professional, Mr. Julinus has been instrumental in initiating and developing Sabah’s Rural and Community-Based Tourism programmes since 2014, an effort that has empowered local communities and diversified the state’s tourism offerings.

In his first two years as CEO of STB, he successfully achieved the 2024 visitor arrival target and, as of August 2025, the Board is on track toward meeting its 2025 arrival goals. Under his leadership, STB has also forged significant collaborations with airlines including AirAsia and Royal Brunei Airlines, further enhancing Sabah’s air connectivity and international accessibility.

Mr. Julinus continues to champion sustainable, inclusive, and experience-driven tourism that aligns with Sabah’s unique natural and cultural heritage. He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Malaysian Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Malaysian Institute of Management.
