Karma is from the Kingdom of Bhutan and serves as an active founding Board Member of Bhutan Sustainable Tourism Society. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Yangphel Adventure Travel & Zhiwaling Heritage Hotel. He represented Bhutan as the Executive Board Member with National Geographic Sustainability program under the name – the Natgeo Unique Lodges of the World . His previous responsibilities include being the President of the Association of Bhutanese Tour operators (ABTO), Board Director of Drukair (Royal Bhutan Airlines), Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB), the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce (BCCI) & Board Director of the Druk Holding & Investments. He also serves as the passionate Board Director of Youth Development Organization.
