Book Talk
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – July 29, 2025- The PATA India Christ University Student Chapter, in collaboration with Bibliotheca – The Library Committee – and the Department of Tourism Management, successfully hosted a thoughtful and engaging Book Talk in celebration of World Nature Conservation Day 2025. Held at the Library, 6th Floor, Bannerghatta Road Campus, the event invited speakers to reflect on books that profoundly influenced their understanding of nature and conservation.
The session witnessed participation from approximately 20 individuals, including faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, and students, with an additional audience of 10–15 attendees. The event provided a platform for meaningful discussions, emphasizing the transformative power of literature in shaping environmental consciousness and encouraging sustainable thinking among the academic community. Attendees shared personal reflections and engaged in insightful conversations that bridged the gap between ecological awareness and literary inspiration. The event concluded with a note of appreciation for the participants, reinforcing the importance of storytelling in fostering a culture of conservation.
About PATA India Christ University Student Chapter:
Founded in 2020, PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter is India’s first PATA Student Chapter. The organization is run by students of the tourism discipline of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) to benefit more than 250 members spanning across undergraduate and postgraduate tourism programmes in the university. The members are encouraged to participate in activities hosted by the chapter, focusing on various industry concerns, including sustainability and industry development.
