QSNCC Earns Global Recognition For “Waste Not, Delight More” Initiative, Paving the Way to Become a Zero Food Waste Convention Center
Bangkok, 04 September 2025 – Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) has distinguished itself on the global stage as a trailblazer in sustainability among Thai convention venues. Its pioneering initiative, “Waste Not, Delight More” has won the prestigious AIPC Innovation Award 2025 – Winner Delegate’s Choice and is a finalist for the UFI Operations & Services Award 2025, underscoring QSNCC’s leading role in sustainable event management.
“Waste Not, Delight More”
“Waste Not, Delight More” is an innovative food-waste management program launched in 2023 under the principles of the circular economy, aiming for Zero Food Waste. The initiative achieves this goal by implementing pre-ordering technology, designing menus that focus on using local ingredients efficiently, and partnering with various organizations to transform food waste into valuable resources.

This program not only enhances the attendee experience—delighting participants with delicious, high-quality, and eco-friendly meals—but also instills a shared sense of pride in protecting the planet. Every dish served brings joy without leaving behind waste, making a meaningful contribution to environmental preservation.
QSNCC’s recognition on the world stage began with the AIPC Innovation Award, an internationally respected accolade celebrating creative and effective management, marketing, and service strategies in international convention centers. The highly-coveted Delegate’s Choice award is voted for by convention centers worldwide-all members of the Association, honoring those with the most impressive and inspiring initiatives.

In addition, QSNCC is among the top four finalists for the UFI Operations & Services Award 2025—an honor from the global exhibition industry association that spotlights exceptional food and beverage management at events. The award seeks programs that are “Sustainable, Engaging, and Adaptive,” and QSNCC’s initiative has resonated withthe judges for its innovative approach.
