QSNCC Welcomes IMF Managing DirectorAhead of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings
Mr. Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, welcomed Dr. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during her visit to review and discuss venue preparations for the 2026 IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, scheduled to take place from 12–18 October 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).
During the visit, Dr. Georgieva commended the Center’s state-of-the-art facilities and operational readiness, underscoring its capacity to host a global gathering of this scale. She also expressed confidence in Thailand’s strong preparedness to host the Annual Meetings in 2026.
The Meetings will mark the second time QSNCC has been selected as the venue for this distinguished global gathering, following their convening in Bangkok in 1991. This return reaffirms the Center’s position as Thailand’s leading international conference venue.
