Adela Issachar Aru

Chief Executive Officer, Vanuatu Tourism Office

Adela Issachar Aru is the Chief Executive Officer of the Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO), Vanuatu’s national destination marketing organisation.

She provides strategic leadership for the marketing and promotion of Vanuatu as a tourism destination, both domestically and in key international markets. Her responsibilities include delivering sustainable growth in visitor arrivals, implementing VTO’s annual marketing plans, and ensuring the organisation meets its key performance indicators.

Ms. Aru oversees both strategic planning and operational delivery. She works closely with private sector stakeholders, other Vanuatu Government ministries and agencies, development partners, and international tourism bodies to strengthen Vanuatu’s tourism sector.

Her current focus is on leading VTO’s domestic and international destination marketing to maintain Vanuatu’s competitiveness as a tourism destination, while building strong partnerships across Government, private investment, and international development to support the long-term, sustainable development of tourism in Vanuatu.
