Stakeholder & Industry Engagement Director, Tourism & Events Queensland

As Tourism & Events Queensland’s Stakeholder and Industry Engagement Director, Laura works strategically with various tourism partners, including regional tourism organisations, state and local governments, and tourism businesses, to foster collaboration and growth in Queensland's tourism sector. In 2022, Laura was appointed as Chair of TEQ's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group, which is responsible for driving the organization's reconciliation efforts. She played a pivotal role in the recent launch of TEQ's Innovate RAP, which seeks to elevate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories through TEQ’s marketing and events activities, and acknowledges the leadership role the organisation can play in influencing the sector. Laura brings over 20 years of marketing, communication, and stakeholder management experience across several industries to her current role in tourism. She has worked for both public and private sectors including for organisations such Tourism Australia.
