Dr Natasha Montesalvo brings a wealth of expertise to her role at EarthCheck, drawing from diverse experiences across academia, industry, and policy. Natasha has a track record of delivering consultancy and research projects with a sustainable and resilient tourism focus. ​​

Prior to joining EarthCheck, Natasha served as the policy and research manager for Queensland’s Tourism Industry Council - the peak body for the tourism industry, where she developed her skills in navigating the complex political landscapes that shape the industry. Her doctoral research at Griffith University delved into the relationships between destination management organisations and tourism/ hospitality entities, shedding light on the impact on destination brand strategies.​​

Combining practical industry insights with a research focus, Natasha is committed to advancing sustainable practices within the tourism sector. She is driven by a passion for leveraging political systems to enhance industry success while advocating for responsible practices that are good for business and good for the planet.​
