Sophia Montgomery

Physics Student at Harvard University, Paris 2024 Olympian in Women's Dinghy Sailing

Sophia Montgomery is Thai and American, born and raised in Bangkok. She is entering her final year studying Physics at Harvard University and is currently based in Los Angeles for a summer research internship at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), focusing on instrument physics and technology. Sophia represented Thailand in Women’s Dinghy Sailing at the Paris 2024 Olympics and is now campaigning for the LA 2028 Games. Grateful for the mentors and communities who believed in her potential, she hopes more young people will be given that same chance—with support that values passion, curiosity, and growth just as much as formal qualifications.
